United States (U.S.) California Wine Sales 2010

Since 2006, France has been known as the world’s biggest wine consumer with an average of about 3.05 million liters drank each year. In 2010 the United States surpassed France in total consumption of wine. Gomberg, Fredrikson & Associates calculated a 2% increase in global wine production. The estimated retail values of these sales were about $30 billion, which was a 4% increase from 2009’s total wine sales.
